Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
A name, place, or other detail typed into a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Saginaw County Released Inmates does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy notice and terms govern its receipt and handling of the search.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends an email or uses a contact form, we keep the message and reply details as needed to respond. We do not disclose the message outside the organization unless the sender requests it or the law requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Information
Standard web and analytics systems may record limited technical details when a page loads. These records help operate the site and understand general use.
- The internet protocol address used for the request
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- The pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The date and time associated with the visit
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies may help measure site use, remember technical preferences, and support advertising. A browser can reject or remove cookies through its settings. Blocking them may cause some search, measurement, or display features to work differently.
How Information Is Used
The information described above may be used to:
- Operate the pages reliably and improve load speed
- Send a search request to the partner selected by the visitor
- Measure which Saginaw County record topics are most useful
- Identify errors, abuse, and other technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests
Government and Outside Links
The site links to Saginaw County jail and FOIA pages, Michigan Department of Corrections resources, court portals, federal locators, and outside search tools. Michigan Freedom of Information Act access to public-agency records is governed by MCL 15.231 et seq. That law does not replace the privacy terms of this private site. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination’s own policy controls its data practices.
Advertising companies may use cookies or similar technology on their systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking occurs under their policies and technology, not as a Saginaw County government function.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may still be processed or disclosed to the following parties when needed for the stated service or legal duty:
- Search partners that receive a visitor’s submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver and evaluate ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order
Security Measures and Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information in our control. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission can be guaranteed fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and our ability to verify the request, a person may:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about them
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask us to erase personal information that need not be retained
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where that choice applies
